Job Title

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) / Open Heart Recovery Unit (OHRU) - Registered Nurse (Travel)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and/or Open Heart Recovery Unit (OHRU) setting
• Monitor and assess hemodynamic status of critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Administer medications, vasoactive drips, and titrate therapies per physician orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU or cardiac critical care nursing experience
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and management of post-cardiac surgery patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Open Heart Recovery Unit (OHRU) or post-cardiac surgical care environment
• Familiarity with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and ventricular assist devices (VADs)
• Previous travel nursing experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting
