QA & Technical Documentation Specialist

Position Overview
A growing technology and payments solutions provider is seeking a QA & Technical Documentation Specialist to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of Restaurant and Retail POS systems.
This role bridges Software QA, Payment QA, Hardware/Device Testing, API & Integration Testing, and Technical Writing. The ideal candidate will identify system defects, validate new software releases, and translate complex technical operations into clear, structured, user-friendly documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing:
Execute functional, regression, integration, and release testing across proprietary POS software and platforms.
Test Windows and Android applications, connected hardware devices, payment peripherals, APIs, and third-party integrations.
Validate payment workflows and transaction lifecycles, including EMV chip, NFC/contactless, voids, refunds, reversals, and batch settlement.
Build, organize, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and comprehensive regression test suites.
Identify, track, reproduce, document, and verify software bugs and production issues through resolution.
Technical Documentation:
Author, update, and organize end-user documentation, including User Manuals, Quick-Start Guides, FAQs, and Release Notes.
Produce technical materials such as Installation/Configuration Guides, Hardware Setup Sheets, and Troubleshooting Manuals.
Ensure all documentation reflects the latest UI updates, feature additions, hardware variants, and software revisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Development, Product, Technical Support, and Implementation teams to drive continuous product quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
Language: Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (written and verbal).
QA Experience: Direct experience in Software QA / Software Testing methodologies.
Domain Knowledge: Experience with POS (Point of Sale), Restaurant, Retail, or Payment Processing systems.
Platform Testing: Hands-on experience testing Windows and/or Android applications.
Documentation Skills: Proven ability to author structured test documentation and end-user guides.
Technical Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of SQL querying and API testing.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with payment terminals, EMV standards, or card processing workflows.
Experience in hardware-software integration testing (printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, payment pads).
Experience investigating and reproducing production-level customer issues.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development cycles.
