The Quality Technician II performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, using test instruments: Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per applicable prints and specifications.Responsibilities:Documentation: Develops and trains others in documentation of the Company's quality management system to satisfy the standards of ISO-9001.Inspections: Works with the production and engineering staff to support any receiving or in-processes inspections and perform final inspection activities.Trainings: Conducts and oversees the training of all company personnel in the quality documents along with the activities associated with those documents; ensures training records are generated and stored in accordance with proceduresCustomer Issues: Resolution and disposition of quality issues raised by customers and suppliers.Quality Activities: Administers all document control activities associated with the quality system including, but not limited to, the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Non-Conformances, Inspection Reports, etc.Additional Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier quality teamsControl calibration equipment and support management of all device databasesAssist with internal/supplier audits associated with the quality system.Other responsibilities as assigned or required.Requirements:2 years' experience (minimum) in a manufacturing environmentMinimum of 3 years of direct quality inspection experienceStrong proficiency with standard inspection tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsMRP system experience (SAP Preferred)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)Self-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to work independently with little supervisionCollaborative with engineering, production, and supplier quality teamsCore Competencies:Experience with fabrication, weld inspection, and NDE methodsSalesforce ExperienceExperience with portable CMM equipmentSteel Mill or Foundry experience / backgroundHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical school or secondary education in a company-related field preferred (machining, measurement, analysis, laboratory work, casting/foundry) preferredTravel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This role will be on site in Bentleyville, PA.What We Offer: At Ingersoll Rand, we embrace a culture of personal ownership - taking responsibility for our company, our communities, and our environment, as well as our individual health and well-being.
