Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists to help patients regain mobility and function
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and coordination
- Document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team to adjust care as needed
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
- Use modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under supervision
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
Qualifications
- Active California PTA license (or compact license eligible)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles and modalities
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team
- Ability to document accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
