Assistant Golf Professional

Overview Execute essential function of golf professional responsibilities while on duty. Performs additional shifts as Starter or Proshop Assistant. The employee will be responsible for greeting guests and providing outstanding customer service, assisting golfers with scheduling tee-time reservations, answering questions relating to all retail and golf products and making suggestions regarding product decisions, ringing sales at registers and assisting with periodic inventory counting. Experience Required Previous work at a golf course facility Essential Responsibilities Opening and closing the Golf Shop Greeting and assisting members and guests as they arrive at the club Schedule future starting times Collect green fees when players arrive at the club Professionally sell merchandise Control the start of play. Keep the starting times on schedule and certify that all players have properly paid fees Monitors the pace of play. Ensure that players adhere to the rules and special daily playing conditions on the course. Request slow groups to speed up play. Interprets and enforces policies, rules and regulations Conducts tournaments and club events Supervise proshop staff in Head Golf Professional's absence Help score tournament results Painting golf course hazard areas as needed Participate in Inventory Counting #J-18808-Ljbffr
