Job Description:
- Must have a HS diploma
- Masks or unmasks various products and parts for painting or selective plating.
- Interprets blueprints, work instructions, both written and verbal instructions, to determine the most effective procedures for masking various products.
- Uses masking tape, paint, various types of wax and protective devices to selectively mask off certain sections of parts and/or units that are to be painted or plated.
- Uses various hand tools such as: punches, scissors, brushes, knives or razor blades to cut and remove tape.
- Position protective coatings on parts or units in accordance with instructions.
- Removes tape, wax, paint and other protective coatings after selective painting or plating process has been completed.
- Touches up paint damaged parts using a brush.
- Adheres to all processing specifications necessary to achieve blueprint requirements and quality of the hardware.
- Demonstrates excellent safety practices and habits to assure all rules are obeyed and implemented.
- Keeps work area clean. Performs other related duties as required.
- This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
- Must be computer-literate
