About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year of Hospice experience License: Must have a current nursing license Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficient in HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis, with experience within the last 6 months Description: Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders. Uses agency policies and procedures and applies the nursing process competently. Reports directly to the Clinical Manager. Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. This position involves home visits and periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. First-time travelers without recent specialty experience will not be accepted. Weekend requirements vary by location. On-call requirements vary by location. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. No contract hours are guaranteed. Weekly productivity expectations are 30 points, equating to approximately 40 hours per week. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation may impact billing and follow-up patient care. Expectations include accepting every patient on the schedule regardless of distance between appointments. Traveling to patients' homes daily is required. Candidates must have a vehicle, driver’s license, and auto insurance. Home Health Checklist is required for compliance. Must be open to on-call rotations.
