Small Engine & Surface-Prep Equipment Service Mechanic Compensation

• Pay Range $23.00 - $25.00/hour
• Monthly Bonus Opportunity: Average of $500+ per month in additional bonus compensation based on performance
  Bonus compensation is not guaranteed and is based on applicable bonus plan requirements and billable hours.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose and repair commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep equipment
• Work on: 2, 3 & 4 cylinder gas engines; truck-mounted carpet cleaning units; portable carpet extractors; hard-surface floor machines; duct cleaning and deodorizing tools; dehumidifiers; air scrubbers; air movers; HEPA vacuums
• Apply testing equipment, troubleshooting guides, and manufacturer repair manuals to ensure accurate fixes
• Identify additional service needs and communicate them clearly to customers and the service department
• Hit quality and productivity goals consistently
• Create service orders and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Schedule and manage appointments using scheduling software
• Interact with customers in person, by phone, and via email
• Build bids and present repair/service estimates
• Order parts, work with vendors, and coordinate workload with other technicians
• Use and maintain shop equipment and tools properly
• Collaborate with store employees to coordinate service work

What you bring

• 2+ years’ experience in one or more: commercial cleaning/restoration equipment; small engine repair/maintenance; pressure washer repair/maintenance; vehicle repair/maintenance
• Valid driver license; clean MVR with no DUIs or Careless/Reckless driving within 3 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Personal basic set of mechanic’s tools
• High mechanical aptitude, strong technical skills, and attention to detail
• Fast, accurate diagnostics and problem-solving
• Safety mindset—use of safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE
• Ability to stay focused and deliver quality work on schedule
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
• Professional presence, solid written and verbal communication, and basic computer skills
• Willingness to work occasional overtime
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus
