Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring open heart and vascular surgical experience with weekend call responsibilities.

Details

• Hospital-based CVOR unit averaging 6 cases per day
• Case mix includes open heart surgery and vascular procedures
• Day shift hours: 06:30–14:30
• Weekday schedule with weekend call required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Demonstrated confidence in open heart surgery and vascular cases required
• Proficiency with computer programs used in patient care delivery

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating duties, prepping the OR, positioning patients on the operating table, and completing Safe Surgery checklist verification
• Serves as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
• Delegates and supervises activities of other team members while responding to urgent or emergent situations
• Responsible for assisting in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• Must be willing to participate in scheduled on-call assignments
