Receiving ClerkThe Receiving Clerk will act as a liaison between the accounting department and the shipping department. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for jobs being billed on time, freight costs being properly applied to their job number within Pace and that all support for freight costs and received purchase orders are received and delivered to the correct party, i.e. accounting, PM/CSR, corporate accounts payable department and/or project managers. This position will be part of the shipping team, working in the shipping department.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilizing the shipping system to process shipments, including packages and skidsLoading and unloading delivery trucks if neededOperating a forkliftReceiving paper and other print related suppliesUtilizing the PO system to output purchase orders to confirm proper product is being receivedCommunicating quickly and clearly and discrepancies or damaged productStudies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receivable standardsHelp with daily workload of jobs running and ensuring details are followed on packaging and labeling of finished productHelp coordinate shipping of jobs to and from outside vendorsCommunicate details of shipping information are not on the job ticketOversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipmentsDirects movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areasStudies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinatesAdjusts errors and complaintsBe available to cover for different areas of the department when neededPerform all other duties as assignedRequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
