Join Liberty Dental Plan as an Accounting Coordinator and put your accounting skills to work supporting accurate and efficient financial operations.About the RoleLiberty Dental Plan is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support healthcare cost reporting, cash disbursements, reconciliations, and other essential accounting activities across multiple entities.Working closely with the Finance Manager and Payables team, you’ll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting provider payment processes, meeting compliance requirements, and improving accounting workflows.Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hourPosition Type: Hourly, Non-ExemptWhat You’ll DoPrepare ASO balance sheet reconciliations, including Claims Payable balance sheet schedules.Process stale-dated claim checks and research discrepancies as needed.Reconcile eligible stale-dated payments for unclaimed property reporting.Process Finance Payables Uniflow queues and respond to related inquiries.Manage provider refund check applications, refund requests, reconciliations, and related provider payments.Reconcile provider refund deposits.Process provider payment method setup and EFT prenote workflows, including banking file imports and follow-up.Review CNB check exceptions and validate checks for banking decisions.Assist with audit selections and preparation of supporting documentation.Provide backup support for capitation and commission payments and reporting.Support HSP adjustments and SAGE-to-HSP reconciliations.Process vendor levy notices, including withholding, expiration, and payment reconciliation.Process weekly ASO client registers for funding requests in accordance with compliance guidelines.Complete monthly ASO client compliance reporting based on assignments and client onboarding requirements.Assist with annual 1099 reporting and Tax ID verification.Provide backup support to the Trade Payables team for healthcare cost-related payments.Contribute to workflow improvements, system testing, and process documentation.Update existing procedures and help develop new procedures as needed.Support timely Claims Payable payment activities.Perform other duties as assigned.What You’ll BringRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.Ability to meet short deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Adaptability in an environment with changing priorities and multiple deliverables.10-key proficiency by touch and a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and effectively solve problems involving multiple variables.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.At least one year of Accounts Payable experience or education in a related field.At least one year of experience processing dental or healthcare claims.Advanced Excel skills.Previous experience working with HSP and SAGE.What Will Help You SucceedYou’ll thrive in this role if you are someone who:Takes pride in producing accurate, timely, and complete work.Enjoys digging into details and resolving accounting discrepancies.Stays organized while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.Adapts quickly as processes and business needs evolve.Brings a collaborative, service-oriented approach to working with others.Looks for opportunities to strengthen processes and improve efficiency.Work EnvironmentThis position is generally performed in an office environment using standard office equipment. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience.
