Locums - Rockford, Illinois, Radiation Oncology Physician Job

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Radiation Oncologist
• Must have an active Illinois license (IMLC not accepted)
• Coverage dates: August 3rd through end of 2026, with potential extension into 2027
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Setting: Outpatient clinic only
• No call, no weekends, no rounding
• No procedures required
• Coverage need: Consistent weekday coverage required for continuity of care
• Strong preference for one full-time locum provider
• Will consider two providers splitting coverage if continuity can be maintained

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients undergoing radiation therapy in an outpatient setting
• Conduct new patient consultations (review history, imaging, pathology)
• Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans in collaboration with physics/dosimetry teams
• Provide follow-up care and survivorship planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (medical oncology, surgery, support staff)
• EMR: Epic
