Since 1939, we have helped clients mitigate risks to lives, property, and reputations through expertise, technology, and research. Location Concord, CA office – Internship position. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of technical tasks, both routine and moderately complex, to gain familiarity with programs, staff, and operating procedures. Collaborate under the direction of engineers to support Probabilistic Risk Analysis development and application. Execute developmental assignments applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under close supervision. Apply prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of assignments, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through related detailed steps or processes. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering fields. At least two years of undergraduate schooling completed. Self‑starter with problem‑solving and reasoning skills. Effective written and oral communication skills to produce reports, business correspondence, presentations, and procedural manuals, and to respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public. Passion for advancing the scientific foundation of safety and resilience and for exceeding client expectations. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $20,000 – $30,000 USD. Compensation may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
