Plant Manager – 3PL Operations

Salary: Up to $170,000 + 20% Bonus Potential

First Call Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for a senior-level operations leadership opportunity with a global organization.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for P&L performance, warehouse operations, customer relationships, people leadership, continuous improvement, safety, inventory management, and long-term operational strategy.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of senior operations leadership experience, including a strong background in 3PL operations and direct P&L responsibility.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who is comfortable being actively involved in the day-to-day operation while also driving long-term strategy. This individual will work closely with onsite teams and directly with key customer leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day site and warehouse operations

• Maintain responsibility for P&L performance and plant budgets

• Build, develop, train, and retain a high-performing operations team

• Drive change management and continuous improvement

• Monitor operational KPIs and implement action plans when performance goals are not met

• Oversee inventory governance, KPIs, and internal and external audits

• Develop labor and storage capacity plans to support current operations and future growth

• Lead Kaizen initiatives, waste reduction, and process improvements

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer leadership

• Work directly with the customer onsite to align operational priorities and expectations

• Help develop strategic initiatives and a 3–5-year operational roadmap

• Support labor, OPEX, capital requirements, and new business opportunities

• Ensure preventive and corrective actions are implemented when processes do not meet customer requirements

• Ensure equipment and operations meet company guidelines and OSHA standards

• Maintain overall facility safety, security, and compliance

• Manage day-to-day operations utilizing SAP Warehouse Management System and other production tools

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior operations leadership experience

• Strong 3PL operations experience

• Proven P&L responsibility

• Demonstrated success leading complex warehouse, distribution, supply chain, or related operations

• Strong customer-facing leadership and business acumen

• Proven ability to hire, develop, motivate, and retain employees

• Experience driving organizational and operational change

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles

• Knowledge of labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, and operational compliance

• SAP Warehouse Management or similar WMS experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Behavioral Science, or a related field preferred

Leadership Profile

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, results-driven leader who can balance operational execution with strategic planning.

This person should be comfortable working closely with employees on the floor, developing future leaders, driving accountability, improving processes, managing financial performance, and building a strong relationship with the customer.

Compensation

Base salary up to $170,000, plus 20% bonus potential.

Final compensation will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and interview performance.
