CNC Machinist (Night Shift) Location: Kansas City, KS

Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Mon – Fri) | Weekends Off! Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 / hour (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

What You’ll Be Doing As the backbone of late-night precision operations, you will:

• Set up, program, and operate 3 and 5-axis CNC machines.

• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and complex machine specs.

• Inspect finished products using calipers and tape measures to ensure rigorous quality.

• Troubleshoot on the fly, adjusting G-code and setups independently.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: Proven background with CNC machines in heavy industrial/manufacturing environments.

• Technical Savvy: High comfort level with blueprints, G-code, and precision measuring tools.

• Independence: Highly self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a night-shift CNC Machinist, you will be the backbone of the late-night precision operations.

• Setup & Execute: Set up, program, and operate 3 and 5-axis CNC machines to craft high-quality heavy manufacturing components.

• Blueprint to Reality: Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and complex machine specifications.

• Quality Control: Inspect your finished products using calipers and tape measures, ensuring every component meets rigorous quality standards.

• Troubleshoot on the Fly: Use your problem-solving skills to adjust G-code, tweak setups, and maintain a smooth, independent workflow.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 6 hours at one time
