As a key member of our team, the Infection Preventionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well‑being of our residents by developing and implementing effective infection control and prevention strategies. About the Role As an Infection Preventionist (RN or LPN) at Aviata at The Bay, you will be responsible for: Planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the infection control and prevention program in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations Helping to prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections Collaborating with center leadership and the medical director to develop, implement, evaluate and re‑evaluate annual infection control and prevention goals and plans Assessing employees with open lesions or communicable diseases for ability to work and any limitations or restrictions Recording, tracking, and trending surveillance and investigation of infections; and actions taken to prevent and control the spread of infections Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN): Must possess a Nursing Diploma with associated RN license from an accredited college or university Certificate/diploma or degree in nursing, or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in microbiology or epidemiology; or Associate's degree (or higher) in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; or completion of training in another related field Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 is required prior to assuming the role in infection prevention and control Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Must possess a Nursing Diploma with associated LPN license from an accredited college or university Certificate/diploma or degree in nursing, or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in microbiology or epidemiology; or Associate's degree (or higher) in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; or completion of training in another related field Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 is required prior to assuming the role in infection prevention and control Benefits Competitive pay, along with holiday pay and paid time off (PTO) program Access to online learning 24/7 Health, dental, and vision insurance for the entire family 401k with a match Why Join Us Aviata Health Group is committed to delivering exceptional, person‑centered care through compassion, clinical excellence, and connection Our mission is to understand each patient's unique needs and meet them with the caring hearts and skilled hands of our dedicated team We strive to be the provider of choice in every community we serve – creating a welcoming environment where residents, families, and team members alike feel valued, respected, and at home If you are a dedicated and compassionate Infection Preventionist (RN or LPN) with a passion for providing exceptional healthcare, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
