Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of charge experience License: Must have active California state license upon submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in accessing and managing ports - Experience in adult acute care and outpatient settings - Skills in airway assessment, central line care and management - Knowledge of infection prevention and medication management - Monitoring of conscious sedation - Competency in radiation safety and sterile procedures - Familiarity with universal protocol Description: This RN will work in a radiology department. The role involves floating to various radiology units, including outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates will work with patients requiring IV access for contrast administration in a fast-paced environment. Experience with sedation and recovery is required. Candidates must complete competency for central line access and cardiac monitoring. Medication administration by the RN will not be permitted; the RN will assist anesthesia or provider. High volume of patients with varying diagnoses scheduled for radiology appointments. Flexibility in daily schedule is necessary. The RN will participate in patient care and support interdisciplinary teams.
