Design Project Manager

Fire Protection Design Project ManagerShambaugh is seeking a Fire Protection Design Project Manager who will design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systemsRead, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specificationsPerform and review complex hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and compliance.Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groupsDevelop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfactionProvide fire sprinkler designs with Revit, Bluebeam, and BIMLead 3D BIM coordination, managing interference with structural elements (joists, sleeves, inserts) and MEP systems.Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the tradesOther duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred (Architectural, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Degrees), or equivalent experience:Fire Protection design experience preferred.NICET certification preferred.Revit, Bluebeam, and BIM experience preferred.Experience with Data Center, Mission Critical, and Semiconductor industry projects preferred.Valid driver's license and excellent driving recordExcellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skillsOnly applicants who possess the minimum qualifications will be consideredRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as requiredEqual Opportunity EmployerAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
