Join the AMI team where you can be AMazing as we shape our future together.Position SummaryThe Packer is responsible for safely packaging finished products while ensuring quality standards and production requirements are met.This position supports production by preparing packaging materials, inspecting product quality, performing required documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Packer works closely with production operators during machine start-ups, shutdowns, product changes, and routine manufacturing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key AccountabilitiesWork safely, completing daily safety audits, preventing accidents and increasing the safety environment of the work areaWork in a self-directed/team environmentUnderstand and troubleshoot all incoming material/processes/equipmentFocus on housekeeping of your work area. Responsible for a clean and organized handoff from shift to shiftUnderstand and operate material conveyance machineryIdentify quality aspects of products and process used to meet customer needsAlign foam with composite or vinyl panel and understand assembly processWork cooperatively with supervisor, lead, and co-workersUnderstand adhesive process and assist with handling glue drumsAssist/perform and understand profile changeovers and line set upsRotates between all positions on the lamination line including sorting, inspecting, assembling, and packaging of product.Able to perform proper startup/shutdown procedures for lineWhen you join AMI, you are part of a leading North American manufacturing business of vinyl windows, cladding, metal siding, trim and other essential exterior building products for residential, light commercial and multifamily projects.
