Music Therapist - Hospice Job Locations: US-IA-GUTHRIE CENTER | US-IA-JOHNSTON Overview Office Location: This position will cover the Guthrie Center service area and some of Des Moines. Schedule: PRN. Hospice of the Midwest is seeking a compassionate and creative Music Therapist! What a Music Therapist Will Do Assess patients' functional status, music responses, and preferences. Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients meet goals. Deliver music therapy using instruments, singing, movement, and listening. Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly and update care team. Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate changes in patient condition. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy from an AMTA-approved program. Board-certified (MT-BC) by CBMT. Preferred: 2 years clinical music therapy experience. Valid driver's license with insured, reliable vehicle. Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills. Understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life issues. #J-18808-Ljbffr
