Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES BOM and routings Customizing BOMs and routings as needed for custom engineered orders Assisting with quotation of large volume and OEM inquiries that may require special manufacturing techniques Product/manufacturing optimization for efficiency and performance New machine sourcing Developing and documenting necessary quality layout information for the QA department on new processes and machines Demonstrate support for company programs through words and actions Resolve product, process and design issues Implement process improvements to the design procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy Perform other duties as assigned Recognize other issues and perform necessary duties to correct problems QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate or bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or Business) or demonstrated equivalent through work experience Experience: Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude; manufacturing experience preferred (Welding, Fabrication, Machining, Production Equipment, and Assembly) Demonstrated project management capability Skills: Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, CAD programs), good communication, influencing skills, and decision-making ability COMPETENCIES Honorable: Be HONEST, treat others FAIRLY, behave with INTEGRITY Loving: CARE for the well-being of our team, treat others with KINDNESS Professional: Treat others with RESPECT; be RELIABLE by following through and honoring commitments; be RESPONSIBLE and own your stuff Customer Focused: APPRECIATE how each of our roles impacts others; provide great SERVICE to all we encounter Quality Minded: DO IT RIGHT; imagine a better way; CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Hardworking: DEDICATE to giving your all; be PASSIONATE; show pride in your work PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Walk up to a ¼ mile at a time. Bend, squat, reach as needed. Have good vision (corrected to 20-20). Good hearing and finger dexterity. Must understand and speak English. Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs. Environmental requirements include working indoors in a high noise level and humid environment.
