More About Our Team North Alabama Medical Center, opened its doors in 2018, as the replacement facility for Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, in Florence, Alabama. North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine. How You'll Contribute Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire. Licenses: Surgical Technician Certification current & in good standing REQUIRED. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. High School Diploma REQUIRED.
