- Conduct thorough evaluations using both standardized and observational methods for patients of all ages - from toddlers to seniors.
- Design customized treatment strategies that cater to immediate needs and long-term communication goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to develop holistic care plans.
- Provide education for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout their recovery journey.
- Keep accurate and timely records that comply with relevant healthcare regulations.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and collaborative learning with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy techniques for all demographics, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired disorders.
- Outstanding ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and a collaborative healthcare team.
- Adaptability in therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices.
