Team Lead Level I- 2nd Shift

About the Role Team Lead Level I – Production Team, 2nd Shift – Wendell, NC. Lead manufacturing activities at the Siemens plant, reporting to the Production Manager. Work on a 2nd shift schedule and coordinate production tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards. Shift & Compensation Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. Hourly Rate: $24.79 + $1.50 Shift Differential. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of all operations in the area, material flow, and SAP transactions Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) Experience in training programs Must be able to use Microsoft Office Reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material with coordinated hand and arm movements Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored work authorization Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Experience with 5S/6S Problem‑solving skills (A3, 8D, etc.) Responsibilities Empower the team, coordinate employees to fulfill work schedules, and serve as backup for the Production Manager Oversee cross‑training per the Production Manager’s direction, maintain the training matrix, and ensure tool calibration is current Demonstrate excellent time management, prioritize tasks, and ensure team adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety policies Conduct SAP transactions throughout the production process, update reports and metrics, and use computer systems to access production‑related documentation Identify and report production issues, collaborate with other departments to resolve them, and support continuous improvement efforts Apply Lean principles such as 5S/6S, 8 Wastes, VSM, Kaizens, and Standard Work, and actively participate in maintaining clean, safe work areas Benefits Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
