Responsibilities This position sets up function room tables, chairs and any other necessary equipment according to prescribed layout; as well as assisting in the presetting, serving and breakdown of all function rooms. Responsible for set-up and breakdown in the hotel ballroom, salons, and pre-function areas. Maintain general cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Banquet Team. Inspects the tables, chairs and meeting rooms for repairs and advises management of needed repairs. Review all banquet event orders and set sheets upon reporting to work & inspect all meeting rooms to ensure proper setup. Attend all regular meetings. Other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Good communication skills. Computer literate preferred (Microsoft Office). Considerable knowledge of banquet set-up, tear-down, serving, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members at all levels of the organization (extremely articulate). Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and customers. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Ability to perform intermediate math. Ability to plan and multi-task; certain degree of creativity is expected.
