Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Location: Baltimore, MD

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capability to manage complex patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and perform advanced clinical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) and other critical care areas as needed.
• Participate in trauma and neuro patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of Critical Care experience required; Level II trauma experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• ATCAR or equivalent trauma education; candidates may complete a Maryland-approved trauma course.
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• Experience with Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU required.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills are necessary.
