Activity Aide

Activities AideFunctions under the direct supervision of the Director of Activities. Responsible for completion of functions of the Activities Department and responsible for the overall execution of activities within the facility.Representative duties include:Implement and complete activities programs for residents; focus on individual preferencesWork directly with residents on units; without direct supervisionOrganize and obtain supplies and equipment as requestedAssist activities director & set up program areas as neededKeep daily attendance and document resident participation in activitiesAssist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate unitsAny other duties assigned by the Director of ActivitiesQualifications:A positive attitude and energy are a mustCNA license is encouraged but not requiredStrong computer skills are requiredAbility to work effectively as a team memberEvening, weekend and holiday availability is requiredEducation/Experience:Previous experience with Geriatric population preferredExperience with activities in a healthcare setting is preferredSpecial requirements (personal skills and traits desired):Good verbal and written communication skills.Evidence of effective problem resolution skills.Demonstrates ability to establish and manage priorities.Resourceful, organized and efficient.Ability to meet deadlines.
