Production Supervisor (PM Shift) – Muskegon, MI Paramelt - Muskegon | Operations Position SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, its personnel, and processes. This position also ensures that products are produced in a safe and efficient manner which meet or exceed quality standards set forth by the company.Primary ResponsibilitiesOversees all manufacturing operations for specific area(s) of responsibilitySupervises all manufacturing employees within the area(s) of responsibilityProvides work assignments to ensure optimal productivity and teamwork objectives are metMotivates others to maintain a neat, tidy work area and holds housekeeping as a high priorityMonitors production schedule and works with production scheduler to ensure customer delivery dates are metWorks with Plant Management to resolve customer complaints related to product quality, packaging issues, and on-time deliveryOptimizes plant efficiency; continually improves production methods, labor, machinery, and equipmentFacilitates employee training and development to ensure employees perform job duties in a safe and efficient mannerAssures company compliance with all established government regulations, corporate policies, and company procedures pertaining to plant safety and environmental regulationsOversees the execution of production processes and ensures that batch records are documented according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)Executes all administrative responsibilities pertaining to the management of employee performance including but not limited to; annual performance appraisals, attendance / time-keeping, PTO, and disciplinary actions.Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Education and ExperienceCollege degree with 2+ years of leadership experience, or 5-10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in chemical blending or related industry is highly preferred.Other QualificationsPersonal integrity and ability to conduct themselves and their job responsibilities in an ethical and non-discriminatory mannerBasic knowledge of the operation and utilization of boilers, compressed air, and chiller/process waterComputer skills, including the use of: Excel, Outlook, and WordDetermination and assertiveness to accomplish goals and objectivesGood oral and written communication skills; can effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, customers, and corporate officialsDetail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and good time management skillsLeadership and team building skills, able to direct and motivate others in a diversified organization to accomplish company objectivesProblem solving and reasoning ability can mentally process and comprehend complex issues involving multiple variablesMechanical reasoning skills, including the ability to analyze and trouble shoot a variety of manufacturing related equipmentFlexibility to work various schedules as needed to keep up with customer demandsParamelt offers a competitive compensation package.
