Class A Diesel Mechanic Technician - Sign On Bonus!

Position Details Hourly pay up to $33.50 per hour, based on experience. Monday – Thursday, 10pm–6:30am. Sign‑On Bonus up to $10,000 (Terms Apply). $1,000 annual tool allowance, annual safety boot allowance, and benefits Day 1 of employment. Position Purpose Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, converter dolly and maintenance vehicles under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations. Communicate and interact with co‑workers. Maintain documentation and complete work orders for all repairs and parts used daily. Perform road‑call services as needed. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units). Identify root causes of basic failures and perform necessary repairs. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components to ensure proper operating condition, replacing parts as required. Ensure equipment is licensed and registered before being deemed roadworthy. Complete thorough documentation for work orders via the online Enterprise Asset Management system. Install, replace, and repair onboard computers. Use hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, precision instruments) and power tools (pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, hoists). Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication. Train other employees and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair experience, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair. Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.
