AIRPORT COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (CLASS CODE 8060)

Job Overview Entry level specialized shift work in receiving requests for information and services, monitoring the airport's automated security system, and related work as required. Required Experience / Education One (1) year of experience as an emergency services dispatcher (Police, Fire, EMS, Aviation or a closely related field). Or thirty (30) semester hours from an accredited college or university. (Education must be verified before appointment; original documents required.) Additional Qualifications Pass a personal, criminal, and employment background check required under federal regulations. Proficiency in computer keyboard use, clear articulation, teamwork, following instructions, and performance under stress during a one‑year probationary period.
