We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative healthcare organization in Mesa, Arizona. Responsibilities:
• Manage invoice review, coding, and payment processing to keep accounts payable activities timely and accurate.
• Support billing, cash application, and follow-up tasks related to accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain general ledger records by preparing and posting entries that reflect daily accounting activity.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure complete and reliable reporting.
• Review and reconcile account statements to confirm balances and resolve outstanding issues.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including account analysis and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Monitor financial data for accuracy and consistency across accounting processes and correct errors as needed.
• Work closely with team members in a structured office environment to support smooth daily accounting operations.• At least 2 years of hands-on accounting experience in a business environment.
• Practical experience handling accounts payable transactions and related documentation.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including payment tracking and account support.
• Experience maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries.
• Proven ability to complete bank and statement reconciliations accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required, with QuickBooks Online experience considered a plus.
• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, or corporate tax return support is beneficial.
