Reach Truck Operator

Palmer Logistics is looking for skilled Reach Truck Operators to join our dynamic team!

Join our team and drive our daily operations forward. We are looking for a proactive individual to manage the safe, efficient movement of our products and materials. The ideal candidate brings sharp attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and hands-on experience with multiple types of equipment in a fast-moving environment.

Pay Rate:

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience and equipment knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers to move and stage inventory.
• Prepare shipments using techniques like labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, and blocking/bracing.
• Verify shipments for precision, documenting and reporting any physical discrepancies.
• Scan and track items accurately utilizing warehouse RF equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consistently achieve operational goals.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and hazard-free warehouse workspace.
• Inspect industrial equipment daily before starting operational shifts.
• Perform non-driving warehouse tasks as needed, including but not limited to cleaning drums/totes, restacking bags/pails, and manually securing inventory.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-3 years of logistics forklift operation and hazardous materials handling.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Flexible to work early, late, or on weekends as operational needs change.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and frequently bend, stoop, squat, sit, and stand.
• Comfortable working in tight, high-traffic, and non-climate-controlled spaces.
• Sharp attention to detail, basic math competency, and clear English communication skills.
