Welder / FitterPay: $25 – $31hr+ based on previous experienceSchedule: Monday – Friday: Steady dayshiftLocation: Ambridge, PATOPS Staffing is hiring an experienced Welder/Fitter for a well-established industrial equipment manufacturer in Ambridge, PA. This is not repetitive production welding. This role is for someone who takes pride in custom fabrication and wants to see projects built from start to finish. You'll help create heavy-duty material handling equipment like industrial trailers, transfer cars, hoppers, lift tables, turntables, and other large fabricated products. Every build is different, so if you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and working off prints, this is a strong long-term opportunity.Required SkillsMIG welding experience in a fabrication or structural environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and measurementsProven ability to lay out, fit, tack, and weld structural components to specExperience fabricating/assembling components such as frames, platforms, supports, and hoppersStrong measuring, layout, and basic shop math skillsAbility to produce clean, structurally sound welds (penetration, appearance, strength, accuracy)Comfortable using common fab tools: tape measures, squares, levels, grinders, saws, clamps, etc.Ability to set up welding equipment and select correct settings for the applicationDependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently while contributing to a small teamNice to Have SkillsFlux-core welding experienceStructural welding backgroundMechanical assembly and/or equipment installation experienceStrong troubleshooting ability and comfort communicating fabrication issues to supervisors/engineeringPreferred ExperiencePrior hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding (custom or large-component work preferred)Demonstrated experience fitting and assembling large or custom-fabricated componentsOther RequirementsAbility to pass a hands-on weld testReliable transportation and dependable attendancePhysical ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in varied positions throughout the shiftAbility to lift/move materials up to 50lbsComfortable working around heavy steel, sparks, heat, and typical fabrication-shop conditionsAble to wear required PPE and follow all safety and quality standardsBring your welding and fitting skills to a shop where your work isn't repetitive—and your builds are something you can truly be proud of.
