Position Overview

iBoost Talent is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician for a well-established food manufacturing facility in Clarkton, North Carolina. This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in manufacturing, food processing, agricultural processing, packaging, or industrial environments and possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. The facility operates in the peanut processing and food manufacturing industry. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment. 
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems. 
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime. 
• Inspect motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, valves, conveyors, and production machinery. 
• Assist with electrical troubleshooting, wiring, sensors, relays, VFDs, and control systems. 
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. 
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. 
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards. 
• Collaborate with production, quality, and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability. 
• Participate in emergency repairs and on-call maintenance activities when required. 

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience. 
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. 
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls. 
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. 
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment. 

Preferred

• Food manufacturing experience. 
• PLC troubleshooting experience. 
• Welding and fabrication experience. 
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs or CMMS systems. 
• Electrical certification, Industrial Maintenance certification, or related technical training.
