Infrastructure Engineer

Position: Infrastructure Engineer Duration: 12+ Months Contract, Possibility of extension and Conversion Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Pay Range: $50-$53/hr on W2, Based on years of experience Please let me know if you are interested and available time to call and discuss more about the project. Job Description Perform IBM i administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, HMC maintenance, system firmware, software installation, configuration, custom development, and security requirements. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system logs, application logs and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups. Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems. Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements. Maintain 3rd party software applications. Participate in Disaster Recovery testing. Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
