Medical Technologist MT or Medical Lab Technician MLT- Laboratory

Responsibilities Non‑Exempt position. Performs analyses on biological specimens (e.g., blood and urine) to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. This position is not eligible for sponsorship or visa transfer, and it does not participate in the F1‑STEM OPT extension program. A two‑year commitment to this position is required. Qualifications MT (Medical Technology) – Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a Bachelor’s degree plus a certificate in one of those fields, as recognized by NAACLS. An HEW certificate may substitute for the specified degree. MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) – Associate’s degree from an accredited MLT program or a U.S. military Medical Laboratory‑training program. Skills Experience working in a medical field (required). Moderate to advanced computer skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy experience. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed. Compensation Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Flexibility to cover evening shifts is required. Weekend schedule: Every 3rd weekend rotation. Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour weekend shifts with day‑shift, evening shift, and overnight hours available.
