Oligonucleotide Senior Scientist
Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina
Eurofins seeks an Organic Chemist to develop and optimize oligonucleotide synthesis and purification processes. The role encompasses process development, scale-up to manufacturing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical synthesis processes for nucleotides and oligonucleotides
- Develop and improve purification methods including HPLC, ion-exchange, and desalting techniques
- Scale processes from research and development to manufacturing operations
- Troubleshoot synthesis and purification issues to enhance yield and purity
- Author standard operating procedures, batch records, and technical documentation
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry or related field
- Minimum 5 years industrial chemical synthesis experience
- Hands-on solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis expertise
- Oligonucleotide purification process development experience
- Strong analytical skills including HPLC and LC-MS
- Process scaling experience to manufacturing
- Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
