We're looking for a hands-on, observant runner/busser to support the dynamic team at Simonette.

About Simonette Restaurant:

In the heart of Downtown Culver City, Simonette is an all-day restaurant and bar that combines the elegance of French cuisine with the cheerful friendliness of an American caf. Located at Palihotel Culver City, Simonette is the perfect gathering spot for locals and travelers alike. The menu is hearty and simple yet refined by its French nature. It's shared mussels and a beer at lunch, a hamburger with Dijon served with a side of French-style green beans, or pomme frites. It's a pork chop and ratatouille served with two martinis at night. It's utilitarian, unpretentious, and totally chic!

Tasks At Hand:

• You're a friendly face that enhances our guests' experience by bringing your own flavor to the table
• Making sure guests are having a fabulous time, from the moment they arrive until it's time to say goodbye.
• Creating a warm, friendly, and laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.
• Learning our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
• Working side by side with kitchen staff and servers to ensure all orders look delicious and match guest requests
• Learning the menu front to back so you can present dishes with accuracy
• The ability to explain ingredients and preparation methods for each item in a helpful and friendly manner
• Developing a sound understanding of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, capacity, and hours of operation
• Delivering food and beverage items in a prompt and hospitable manner
• Active communication with servers and applicable team members of wait times and any product shortage
• Assisting servers with food and beverage service and bussing to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintaining stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
• Performing any general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager to adhere to health standards
• Performing other duties as requested, such as cleaning spills, handling guest requests, greeting and seating guests and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

What We Are Looking For:

• Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for the food industry
• Displays a strong hands-on approach
• Guest service oriented
• Perform job junctions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Follow directions thoroughly
• Understand guest's service needs
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• 1-3 years of experience in a high-quality full service or fast casual environment
