Facility in Elkader, IA seeking EM PA-c locums coverage Rates: $130/hr Opportunity Highlights
- PRN Schedule: Seeking coverage for various 10-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour shifts, including multiple holiday and weekend blocks spanning December 2025 through May 2026.
- Sole Provider Responsibility: Function as the sole provider for both the Emergency Department (ED) and the Med/Surg Inpatient Unit.
- Low Volume: The facility is low volume:
- ED Average: 3.6 patients per shift.
- Med/Surg Inpatient Census: 1.4 patients per shift.
- Support Staff: Supported by 2 RNs and 1 Paramedic per shift, plus occasional CNAs and NPNs.
- EMR: The facility uses EPIC for charting.
- Privileging: Temporary Privilege is an option to expedite the credentialing process.
- Provide comprehensive care as the sole provider in the ED and Med/Surg units.
- Manage Emergency Care, Inpatient, and Skilled Care cases.
- Inpatient Responsibilities are required.
- Manage the ED average of 3.6 patients and Med/Surg census of 1.4 patients.
- Board Status: Board Certified is REQUIRED.
- Experience: Experience in Emergency Care and Inpatient Management is necessary.
- Licensure: Active Iowa (IA) License is REQUIRED.
- Certifications: Active DEA and CSR in hand are REQUIRED.
- Background: Clean Malpractice/No Background issues are REQUIRED.
- The first coverage block begins December 24, 2025.
