Key responsibilities of a school speech pathologist include: Responsibilities Direct Therapy Provision: Providing individual or small group therapy sessions to address identified speech and language goals using appropriate therapeutic techniques and materials. Classroom Consultation: Consulting with teachers to provide strategies and support for incorporating communication skills into the classroom curriculum and addressing student needs within the learning environment. Progress Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assessing student progress toward their IEP goals and making adjustments as needed. Parent Communication: Communicating with parents about their child\'s speech and language development, providing information on therapy strategies, and involving them in the treatment process. Qualifications Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program A current state license to practice speech pathology Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Strong assessment and diagnostic skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Tree of Knowledge
