The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process, final, and reworked medical imaging systems to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory requirements. This role supports product quality and compliance by performing visual inspections, functional tests, and documentation reviews against ISO 13485 and internal procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Uncrate incoming systems and materials, inspect for damage, and verify contents against packing lists.
- Document inspection results on inspection reports to be included in the Device History Record (DHR).
- Review production records for completeness and accuracy during final inspection.
- Perform final functional testing on completed medical imaging systems prior to release.
- Conduct in-process inspections as required to verify production quality.
- Identify and report nonconforming material findings to Quality Engineering for resolution.
- Perform inspections on reworked product to verify resolution of nonconformities and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Maintain separation of inspected and uninspected product to ensure material control.
- Operate within ISO 13485-compliant procedures and maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Collaborate with production and warehouse personnel to support efficient inspection workflows.
Requirements:
- A college degree in engineering or closely related field is a plus, equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of experience related to quality inspection strongly preferred
- Familiar with ISO13485 (preferred), ISO9001
- Basic knowledge in test equipment (ruler, caliper, force gauge).

Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.
