Senior Technician - Equipment

Job Description Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Technician-Equipment. The right candidate will repair and maintain electro‑mechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment, calibrate the equipment and PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience in metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment. Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment. Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment. Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions. Ability to interface with auditors. Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools. Familiarity with ISO‑1725, MIL‑453662A desired. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to use MS Office. Ability to interface with parts or service vendors. Trade‑school or post‑high‑school certificate training in electronics desired.
