At Vistal , we're expanding our disciplined acquisition engine to grow an enterprise of employee-owned engineering and infrastructure businesses. We are seeking a Corporate Development Associate to work directly with our CEO in identifying, evaluating, and advancing acquisition opportunities that create long-term value for current and future employee-owners. This is not a back-of-house analytical role. You will participate in every stage of the acquisition process, from market mapping and target identification to owner outreach, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, and integration planning. You'll interact directly with founders, management teams, lenders, attorneys, advisors, executive leadership, and the Board. What You’ll Do Build and advance a proprietary acquisition pipeline Identify and evaluate acquisition targets across engineering and infrastructure markets Develop financial models, valuations, and transaction scenarios Prepare executive, investment committee, and Board materials Coordinate due diligence and manage transaction workstreams Support negotiation, structuring, financing, and closing activities Help translate acquisitions into successful integrations and long-term value creation initiatives What Makes This Opportunity Different Direct partnership with the CEO Meaningful exposure to executive leadership and the Board End-to-end deal experience instead of a narrow functional role Relationship-building with founders and owners of privately held companies Opportunity to help shape the future of a growing employee-owned enterprise A platform for accelerated professional development and increasing responsibility What We’re Looking For 4-6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, strategic finance, consulting, or a similar transaction‑intensive environment Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills Intellectual curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail The ability to build trust with business owners and senior leaders A desire to create lasting value through acquisitions and employee ownership Why Vistal? The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000-$144,000 (with flexibility DOQ). Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, certifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
