Traveling Die Maintenance Welder — TIG/MIG & Spotting TechnicianAre you the expert called in when production stops?

The Work You’ll Tackle- Repair stamping, press, and roto-molding dies using TIG/MIG welding
- Grind, sand, blend, and polish to return surfaces to spec
- Set up and verify repairs by “spotting in” and making precision adjustments
- Fabricate shop accessories (chutes, trays, racks, clamps) in steel or aluminum
- Execute basic operations on manual mill, lathe, and drill press
- 5+ years of recent, verifiable die repair experience
- Demonstrated success with TIG/MIG on die materials
- Hands-on “spotting in” experience to validate quality
- Fluency with standard shop tools and techniques
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
- Blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Clear communication with all levels of shop personnel
- Reliability, consistent attendance, and performance
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime
- Prior nationwide travel experience (preferred, not required)
- Travel: 100% within the United States; remain on-site for the full duration of client needs
- Pay: $45–$47/hr
- Per Diem: $125–$180/day (location-dependent, tax-free)
- Project Length: Open-ended (typically 6+ months)
- Overtime: Available based on client demand
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.725/mile to the job site (paid on first paycheck)
