Business Analyst (Salesforce)



Location: Phoenix, AZ

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) DTS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Salesforce expertise to support enterprise Salesforce initiatives and business process improvements.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and Salesforce teams.
• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and actionable requirements.
• Conduct business process analysis, gap analysis, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support Salesforce capabilities including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud .
• Work with Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, reports, and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, data maps, and system documentation.
• Participate in test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
• Support Salesforce implementations, enhancements, system improvements, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Work in Agile environments using Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
• Manage requirements, user stories, defects, and project activities using Azure DevOps or Jira .
• Conduct user training and assist with organizational change management activities.
• Provide recommendations on Salesforce best practices, process improvements, and platform enhancements.
• Support Salesforce data migration activities and integration initiatives as needed.
• Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration tools is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and large case management systems is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Analyst is required.
• 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience is required.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) is required.
• Salesforce Business Analyst Certification is preferred.
• Government or public-sector experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS, or related field is preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
