Job Opportunity: Urologic Oncologist or General Urologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a Urologic Oncologist, or a General Urologist with a strong focus on oncology and an interest in robotics, to play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding urologic services at a newly constructed hospital and comprehensive cancer center. This facility is located in one of the fastest-growing areas within the Greater Charlotte region. This is a unique chance to be part of a significant healthcare initiative from its inception.

The new campus will include a dedicated cancer center offering medical oncology, infusion services, radiation oncology, and multidisciplinary cancer care. Recruitment efforts for oncology specialists are already in progress, with several medical oncologists and radiation oncology professionals committed to the program. Cancer care will be a flagship service line, alongside advanced cardiology, transplant services, and robotic surgery. Physicians will have access to the resources of a nationally recognized academic cancer program, including clinical trials, collaborative multidisciplinary efforts, and a robust research infrastructure, all while enjoying the benefits of a community-based practice.

This role is well-suited for either an experienced physician eager to help lead and shape a developing program or a recent graduate or fellow seeking mentorship, strong institutional backing, and long-term career growth opportunities. Leadership roles, such as Medical Director and Robotics Director, may be available for qualified individuals.

• Position in Urologic Oncology; fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience or interest in robotics is encouraged.
• A robust urologic oncology practice with expected patient volume, case mix, and complexity similar to that of main campus academic settings, including prostate cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and other advanced urologic malignancies.
• Flexible call schedule with a low call burden and additional compensation opportunities beyond standard call obligations.
