Ultrasonographer Traveler Contract PositionLocation: York, MEAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime. Shifts are 4 -10 hour days, including call on varied weeknights and every 4-5th weekend. Specific hours include:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 7:30 am to 6:00 pmCall on Friday: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am SaturdaySaturday and Sunday: 7:00 am to 7:30 pmJob DescriptionThe Ultrasonographer will perform clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography examinations, utilizing cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as necessary. The candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, maintaining the safety and comfort of patients, and ensuring accurate documentation of sonographic findings.ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.Use independent judgment during sonographic exams to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.Analyze sonograms, synthesize information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician.Maintain patient records accurately and ensure all ultrasound equipment is in proper working order.Establish effective working relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and respond to off-shift call requests promptly.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureGraduate of a formal diagnostic medical sonography program.Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (preferred).Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).Minimum of 2 years of experience in general abdominal, small parts vascular, and OB/GYN scanning, including fetal survey scanning.Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently as part of a team.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
