Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' experiences and trauma histories, which will guide individualized treatment strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review evidence-based individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, helping clients build resilience and coping skills.

  • Utilize specialized therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address specific patient needs.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma and foster healing through shared experiences.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a comprehensive care plan that promotes the overall well-being of each patient.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies in a calm and professional manner.

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and the array of resources available to aid their recovery.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient information is securely managed.

  • Stay informed of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continually enhance your skills and therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and other dissociative disorders. We are dedicated to providing a compassionate and understanding approach to therapy, ensuring our clients feel safe and supported throughout their journey to recovery.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatments are essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach are critical for building rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
