Requirements

• Required certification: Tele Step-down
• 1+ years of experience
• Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 18 months required 2. Cases: Cardiac and Medical PCU - True ICU Stepdown - Heart caths, BiPap, cardiac and vasoactive drips 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIH/NIHSS preferred 4. License: In-state license required; must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 8 and 10 hour shifts (40 hrs/week), 3x12 hour shifts (36 hrs/week), or 4x12 hour shifts (48 hrs/week); no on-call required; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; can auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks after 12 months employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals NOT accepted for PCU positions; out-of-state residents require 3-month break, in-state require 6-month break to reset eligibility 11. Background: Background policy noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Red top, black bottoms 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16.
