The team brings together career advisory, alumni engagement, and client guidance to deliver support at critical career moments, while also strengthening BCG’s long-term relationships. By combining deep individual advisory with scaled infrastructure, data, and firmwide coordination, Alumni, Career, and Executive Services helps BCG talent navigate transitions, unlock opportunities, and remain meaningfully connected to the firm over time.The Executive Career Advisor (ECA) within North America Alumni, Career, and Executive Services is responsible for supporting senior executives through career transitions while strengthening BCG’s relationships across its client and alumni network. ECAs operate at the intersection of executive advisory, client engagement, and network development, working with C-suite, EVP, SVP, and Partner-level talent across the BCG ecosystem. This role combines high-touch advisory with external market engagement and requires strong judgment, credibility, and relationship-building capabilities. The ECA role is built around three integrated areas:Executive Career AdvisoryGuide executives in defining their next role and long-term career directionSupport development of executive positioning and leadership narrativeAdvise on search strategy, networking approach, and opportunity targetingProvide input on executive branding materials (e.g., resume, LinkedIn, board bios)Prepare candidates for executive-level interviews and selection processesAdvise on offer evaluation, compensation, and onboardingClient PartnershipIntroduce BCG’s clients to qualified executives from the BCG networkSupport BCG’s clients in identifying and filling gaps in leadership team needsAdvise BCG’s clients on senior role profiles and candidate calibration during hiring processesCollaborate with client teams and, where appropriate, external search partnersExecutive Network DevelopmentDevelop relationships with senior alumni, client executives, and search professionalsFacilitate targeted introductions across the networkIdentify and surface relevant executive opportunitiesParticipate in BCG alumni and industry engagements to strengthen market presenceMaintain awareness of talent trends in the market and executive hiring dynamicsYOU'RE GOOD ATAdvising senior executives with credibility, discretion, and strong presenceBuilding trust with C-suite and Partner-level stakeholdersNavigating complex and sensitive career transitionsUnderstanding executive hiring dynamics, including C-suite and board-level rolesBalancing empathy with structured, outcome-oriented guidanceBuilding and maintaining strong professional networksOperating effectively in a collaborative, matrixed organizationOutcomes You Will Drive Support successful transition of senior executives into impactful rolesStrong, trust-based relationships with senior alumni and clientsIncreased engagement across BCG’s executive networkEnhanced connectivity between talent and opportunity within the BCG ecosystemWhat You'll Bring10+ years of experience in executive search, executive coaching, executive/senior recruiting, or related leadership rolesSignificant experience in at least one of the following domains: Boards of Directors, Industrial Goods (e.g., manufacturing, automotive), Transformation, Private Equity, and/or Financial Institutions & InsuranceStrong understanding of executive hiring markets, including C-suite and board-level search dynamicsExperience assessing and positioning senior executive talent for complex rolesEstablished network of executive recruiters and/or corporate talent leaders preferredProven ability to operate with senior stakeholders in high-confidentiality environmentsUndergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferredWho You'll Work WithExecutive Career Advisors work closely with colleagues across the North America Alumni, Career, and Executive Services function, BCG’s People Team and Consulting Team leadership, and the broader BCG ecosystem. As a part of this team, you will collaborate closely with the leaders of our firm. Compensation Information: Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.The base salary range for this role is $134,000-$181,000 (USD).This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 20% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.At BCG, we are committed to offering a comprehensive benefit program that includes everything our employees and their families need to be well and live life to the fullest.
